Dee honestly hated coffee.

Any form of caffeine caused him to crash at least two hours after drinking it, which lead to more exhaustion than it was supposed to. The actual taste of coffee disgusted Dee to the point that he spat out a mouthful into some bushes once, and tea was just gross in his opinion. In general, Dee just stayed away from anything coffee other than ice cream and his roommate’s espresso brownies.

So of course the barista at his best friend’s favorite coffee place had taken an interest in him.

Summary: Dee is part gorgon, is a compulsive liar and has zero social skills, but somehow he manages to find four friends how accept him as he is.

Companionship was something Dee hadn’t had in years. He purposefully isolated himself, only showing himself to mess with others like him or to scare a few unsuspecting humans. Even in the monster community he was shunned because of his family watering down gorgon blood, his human side making it easy for him to blend into the humans’ world without question if he only covered up his scales and didn’t let his lisp show.

The only option in his mind was to hide and lie. Keep to himself and say the opposite of the truth to protect himself. Name? He’d forgotten. Age? Didn’t matter. All lies to keep himself from remembering how alone he was and always would be.

Then he met Patton.

Warnings: someone is punched by accident

Summary: Logan is going to find out the texture of Deceit’s scales by any means necessary. For science only, obviously. Deceit is alarmed. Patton, Virgil, and Roman wonder when these idiots will get their acts together.

Logan was a man of scientific intrigue. He valued facts and knowledge, craving the acquirement of data he previously did not possess. Thus, it was only logical that the presence of one such piece of data, dangled so tantalizingly close, was sufficient to drive him a bit… crazy.

“I need to know,” He hissed suddenly, slamming his book shut.

Virgil, by now accustomed to his sudden outbursts of passion for knowledge (although it had been a very painful learning process that had resulted in Logan being punched in the face a few times; fight-or-flight reflexes were no joke), looked up from his phone and made a vague humming sound, which Logan took as permission to continue speaking.

“Virgil, it is absolutely imperative that I find out if our housemate of falsehood’s scales are slimy or smooth.”

Virgil groaned, pushing his headphones down to hang about his neck. “Seriously, Logan, this again? He’s not going to let you touch them, dude.”

“Always serious,” Logic said seriously, indicating his serious blue necktie with a serious expression to indicate just how serious he was, Virgil. “And as he will not grant me permission, I shall simply have to resort to a more… extreme methodology.”

Anxiety groaned, pressing a hand into his stomach to ward off the distress growing there. “Nothing good will come of this,” He predicted darkly.

He wasn’t entirely incorrect.

You know what I need more of?

Patton with tattoos and different hair colors and piercings because there’s really nothing morally wrong about it, and he enjoys them!

“Tell me what you’ve done with Prince Patton,” he demands, taking a threatening step forward.

She gives him one final bitter look, opens her mouth… and abruptly goes limp and collapses to the floor.

Okay so! This is the ticklish!Deceit fanfic I was sitting on for a LONG time. It’s finally done, and since I typed it out, and fixed somethings, I kinda like it now! Anyways, I wanna tag some people who helped me gain ideas for this fic! @neko-ereri, @tatorqueen, and @5am-the-foxing-hour! You guys posted content on ticklish!Deceit that helped me figure out this fic <3 I really hope you, and everyone else loves this fic! Please enjoy! <3

This was SO fun! Deceit cursed as he, yet again, tripped over his cape and in an attempt of catching himself, ended up tripping over Virgil’s legs, landing quite harshly on the carpeted floor of the mindscape. Hearing the thud of the snake-like side, Roman and Patton ran into the living room from the kitchen to see Deceit face first on the floor with Virgil looking at him in concern from over the couch. Listening in as the Anxious side tried to explain he didn’t trip him on purpose, Deceit honed in on footsteps coming towards him until black boots came into his vision. Roman? Trying to help his fellow side up, Roman reached down, moving the article of clothing that caused this whole thing, out of the way before the Creative side’s hands gripped at his waist with a steady hold. Feeling as if he was electrocuted, Deceit jerked hard and made the most unnatural and strangled sounding sob, as he twisted to get away from the offending hands. Pulling away as if he was burned, Roman and the other stared down at the gasping side with equally confused expressions.

“T-that was GREAT. Please, do that again!” Deceit gasped, wrapping his arms around his midsection as his body trembled, obviously still recovering from Roman’s electric touch. Blinking, Roman met Virgil and Patton’s confused gazes, before looking back down towards Deceit, who literally looked like he was ready to pass out on the spot. Continuing to stare at the yellow clad side, Roman took in the other’s state before an idea made itself known, causing the Creative side to get a smirk on his face that would honestly fit Virgil more than himself. Feeling the shift of the air in the room, Deceit glanced up and stared Roman down with a slitted glare. “I would LOVE if you did that again. COME closer.”

OK y’all asked for it so I present to you and warn you of the odd depths of Cole’s mind:

Deceit encounters a cauliflower. He is suspicious and engages in a staring contest. Who wins is up to you

Deceit slithers in the shadows and makes vaguely drunk noises

Deceit has a sombrero. No one is sure why

Deceit uses his bowler hat like a bowl. It has a faint scent of ranch dressing

Deceit has gloves on his feet. Not socks. Gloves

Deceit can do the macarena and uses it in a way of asserting dominance. Oftentimes Logan viciously T-Poses in response

Virgil has a can of something labeled ‘snake juice’. He rolls it at Deceit sometimes just to keep him on his toes. The can is in reality filled with beetroot juice.
